Dr. Whitney Pagel - Veterinarian

Dr. Whitney Pagel was born and raised in Wharton, TX.

She got her start in veterinary medicine there during her school days, attending career days at local clinics, volunteering and eventually attaining an after-school job as a veterinary assistant. When she headed off to college at Texas A&M University, she continued working part-time as a vet tech and volunteering at the Brazos Animal Shelter. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and Animal Science in 2004. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.

In the summer of 2008, after graduation, Dr. Pagel moved to Austin and has been practicing veterinary medicine in this area since then. Dr. Pagel is a member of the Capital Area American Veterinary Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, pain management, integrative therapy and continual learning.

Outside of her time helping her furry patients, Dr. Pagel enjoys dancing, traveling, music, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Pagel and her husband Jon have two kiddos, Finn and Gigi. They also have two orange tabbies named Fergie and Flanders.
